Report:
The sun was at the rendez-vous with the fifth edition of Ascona Go Tournament,
the temptation to go skiing in the surrounding hills was big :-)
Players came as usual from all Switzerland, especially from region of Lausanne.
Only two italian came this year from Varese, probably because of the GP in Milan
the week before.
The five higher ranked played each other, the best of the following ones joining
them in each round making the sixth player.
The tournament finished with four players winning four games:
Baumann Daniel 1K, Mallon Willem 1D, Penfornis Raymond 5K and Schlaepfer Rudolf 6K.
But as usual the players had some special "after tournament" in Ascona:
the lunch in a pizzeria at the Lake Maggiore,
the dinner cooked by themselves and the go-saturday-night-fever are well
known by the "aficionados" of Ascona Tournament.
Nevertheless the tournament could finish sunday at 16h00, early enough for those
who had to ride for some hunderds of km.
