1. The minutes of the previous year were accepted.
2. Held gave a brief resume of the years activities.
Regular tournaments were held in Bern, Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne, and Winterthur.
The Championship was held in Basle. In addition Daniel Baumann once again organized
a successful stage with Laurent Heiser as the visiting teacher. Adi Wagner was responsible
for second successful stage with Yuki Shigeno as instructor. The Junior championship (04)
was held once again in Bern, with 6 participants and was won by Yvon Baeryswil of Freiburg
In addition, Go in Basle has been resuscitated, with a small enthusiastic group once again
playing go. Details about time and placed and contacts will be found on our website.
A further positive development is the founding of a Go club Yverdon. Again the details will
be available on the website.
A second go club designed for non-smokers has been opened in the Geneva Region

3. On the international scene, Sebastian Koch represented Switzerland in the Korean replacement
tournament for the Japanese WAGC which was cancelled. Roberto Morrison will be
representing us at the upcoming tournament in Amsterdam. He will also be our
representative at the special meeting of the E.G.F. which will take place at the same time.
This years representative at the WAGC in Japan will be Josef Renner.
Should the Koreans continue their championship yearly we will in all probability be in a position
to send two representatives to the far East each year. It was decided that they would be the top
two point holders, with the top player having his choice of tournament.
As far as the pairs championship is concerned Switzerland is in the favourable position of being
able to send a pair whenever we can find one:
.
4. Financial:
We are currently sitting on a war chest of some 6500 S.fr. We paid 24000 Yen to the I.G.F.
and 50 Fr. to the E.G.F. Details will be available on the web site With this money we will be
continuing to pay 5 fr./participant for tournaments held. Dominik Mueller proposes to
organize a tournament in Lucerne. He will be required to guarentee 500 fr income for the
local.
It was agreed that the federation would guarentee this amount.
It was also agreed that the Yverdon club would receive a 300 S.Fr startup fund for the
purchase of equipment, and would for at least one year not have to pay fees to the
federation.
5. The executive was reelected intact.
6. The Winter stage will have to change form and local and maybe time.. Daniel will organize if
more Swiss are prepared to participate, and a reasonable site can be found.
The possibility of contacting and organizing something with the the French Association was
discussed. If something concrete arises, the membership will be informed.
7. Junior tournament: It was agreed that Bern was the ideal place to hold the tournament,
so next years tournament will take place during the first week-end in Feb as part of the
Bern Go tournament. There remains enough money from the Ing grant to continue its
financing.
8: Tournament Calender:
Zurich: 20-21 March
Lucern: 3-4 April
Lausanne: 19-20 June
Bern: 5-6 February 2005
9. Special request:
Due to an oversight on the part of the chairman (whose name will not be mentioned)
a request for transportation for Josef Renner to travel to Basle to give lectures to the
new born club - which is made up entirely of beginners was ommitted.
This has since been agreed upon by those who were at the meeting.
